* Punkbuster detects a hack running or hacking tools running on computer

* Impersonating Game Staff

Myths and Misconceptions about Bans

Virus/Trojan Caused the Ban: A Virus and or Trojan on your computer will NOT get your account banned. Some Virus and Trojan's just interfere with PB being able to communicate with the master server and this causes the
0 minute kick. If the PB client on your computer can't communicate with the game server it just disconnects you from the game... it DOES NOT ban your account. We tell you to check for Virus/Trojans because of the 0 minute kick issue.
* VB6 or Visual Studio Caused the Ban: Nether of these programs will cause a ban if they are running. You will get banned if you attempt to use these tools to "hook" into the Warrock program or if you are using them to create hacks
* WEP Pro is a valid program: Yes and No, it is a memory editing program and PB will not ban you if you have it install or running BUT if you use it to "Hook" into the Warrock program PB will ban your account. If fact ANY memory editing program attempting to "Hook" into the Warrock program will cause a ban. You can't make a mistake like some people claim dry.gif you have to perform a lot of actions to do it and that means you are attempting to hack the Warrock program.

Hacking Programs/Tools: We do not have a list of programs that PB has deemed as "hacking tools". They have a list and it is confidential and it pertains to ALL Punkbuster protected games so don't ask us for a list.

Vista/MSN/LimeWire/Media Player/IRC/IM/Vent/Teamspeak/Xfire caused the Ban: Sorry
these programs will NOT cause a ban because they do not make any attempt at editing the game or the games memory. We test with these programs and so does Evenabalance and they have never caused a ban.
When we mean "Gamers First" we mean the gamers that play fair and are not causing problems in the game or to other players.
